About Glasgow Southside student storage
The Southside covers the area south of the Clyde and includes Shawlands, Pollokshields, Govanhill, Strathbungo, and Mount Florida. Most student housing is in red sandstone tenement flats. The Southside is popular with University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, and Glasgow Caledonian students who want quieter streets and cheaper rents than the dense West End. Pollokshaws Road and Victoria Road form the main shopping corridors.
The Southside sits outside the central Glasgow LEZ but we use LEZ-compliant vehicles for all Glasgow collections. Tenement upper flats with shared close access are standard. Permit parking applies on busier streets. Tenancies end in early to mid June. Typical Southside residents store five to eight boxes.
